When life gives you lemons, how do YOU deal with them? Be happy because they're free or something far more creative? ;) xx

Find the gin bottle? You'll need a large one to use up whole lemons! :-)

Cheers! The good thing about all these lemons is the amount of Vitamin C they produce :)

The juice of one lemon, 1 tablespoon of honey and 1/2 pint boiling water. Stir well and drink warm. Cut through all the gunk, soothes the throat and the cough is easy. Taste good as well.

Hi Scrobbles, the lemons should be reserved solely for use in Yates's Blobs. Yate's Australian white wine, which is a mixture of white wine and brandy (about £7 a bottle), sugar, lemon slice, fill up with hot water. OR my favourite, sugar, lemon and fill up with lemonade and microwave, about 45 secs but keep checking as it can get very hot. But never drink more than two, strange things can happen!!! Sadie xxx

Thanks Alison, how about trading in lemons, it seemed to work for oranges in the film 'Trading Places' - think of all the dosh to further proper pukka research into lungses - Vista Print for the business cards I think LOL :)

appyalison profile image

Great idea. We can get rid of so many lemons life throws at us. Then we can sell the silk purses made from the sow's ears of life. It's a great future! Take care Scrobbs. :-) :-) :-) Alison

I can cope with a couple of lemons but it's when the 40' lorry turns up fully loaded that I quail and quiver LOL. The future is now yellow hahahaha :)

Fresh lemonade. Mmm! Lemon meringue, lemon cake. Keep some in the shed or garage out of the way from frost they will last quite a while. Im sure there is a lot more you can do with them.

scrobbitty profile image
scrobbitty in reply toMavary

I could donate them! :)

Mavary profile image
Mavary in reply toscrobbitty

Mmm! Who were you thinking of donating to. You could get someone to sell them at a market. Or give them to a hospital or Hospice. Maybe even a school. It's a few things to think about. All the children at a school would eat lemon meringue pie made with your lemons.

Great to see you back scrobbitty! Sorry you havent been the best, try & keep well. Please say hello to Azzard from me,xxx

If you have fair hair rinsing it with lemon juice lightens it. I have red hair so don't know why I have this useless bit of knowledge in my head

scrobbitty profile image

Oh LOL but it's delightfully quirky knowledge, red hair or not :) Apparently it's also great for removing nicotine stains hahahaha
