I have got COPD. Went to the pulmonary doctor because of pneumonia and as part of the treatment he changed my inhaler. I was on anoro ellipta which i got on with ok. Now he has given me flutiform which when i get home and look it up is for asthma. Do not understand but I've a follow up appointment in a few days time.

I have bronchiectasis and obliterative bronchiolitis and my consultant put me on QVAR because I can't use Fostair. It is also an asthma inhaler but a suitable treatment even though not strictly recommended - that was his comment in the record. Certainly seems to work.

I think you will find that most of the inhalers are used across various lung diseases, eg. a common one being Ventolin that everyone seems to get as a rescue inhaler, at first, no matter what lung disease is diagnosed.
