lung diseases rib fracture

Gee Wiz Golly GOSH ... given my last AE visits thats is in process of being forgotten lost in me brain.

Anyway when i want in AE with heart scare ONE where doctor did not check bloods for blood clots on lung

She also said o no rib fractures don't happen to lung diseased.

Then other doctor i seen when GP phoned hospital ASKING why they had not checked for blood clots on lung SAID when she was giving me good squeeze SAID we do.

Talk about conflicting information.

Looking back at my AE visit and pricking poking that went on I do remember doctor pressing my rib under my man boobs AND i nearly jumped out the cheer.

Clearly she must been new doc as even am more experienced

But last doctor i seen ONE that checked for blood clots SAID that if i had rib fracture i would screen jump out of chair if had rib fracture and it was pressed

Clearly i had forget all of this in trying to escape AE clutches.

So nearly TWO weeks later my GP still saying they have no X-ray results or hospital discharge stuffyet receptionist said they had hospital report.

One thinks my GPs don't want me to read my XRAY report

JA, you can break a rib via a violent cough or sneeze. I broke 3 that way, confirmed by X-ray and Ct scan and my oncologist. Unfortunately, not much can be done for rib fractures other than time and rest. Regards, judg69

Hi judg69 My dad had a few fracture's when CPR was done he 's back is all twisted now brakes my heart to see it.

He had floating chest or something HE defo been threw it AND doctors told us NOTHING guess that's why am way am AS the not going to get away with stuff that easy with me.

If pain with your fractures was as bad as mine that day have my sympathy as is horrendous

I have fractured a rib from coughing before not much treatment can be given just rest and pain killers. it was very very painful though. I hope you get better soon.
