Well Seen Lung Doctor 👩‍⚕️ Talk About Conflicting Information Re Heart 💔 Event.

Yup my lung doctor looked at AE ecg and said he could see no worries re ecg trace done at AE.

Lung doctor ASKED who said I was having heart attack TOLD lung doctor was GP and PHONE ecg people.

TOLD lung doctor AE cardiac surgeon told me this no doubt I will have other heart event attack.

Lung doctor WAS not convinced quite unconcerned.

So I got home after seeing lung doctor feeling quite ill worn out .. to find letter saying I have to have five day heart Event recorder fitted

It’s called R Test Ecg Event Recorder for Monitoring Arrhythmias Eptopic Heart Beats ect.

So not quite sure what’s going to happen at cardiology on 30 July as R Test is not going to be fitted until 8 August.

Only thing I know about my heart issues IS 8 years ago I was apost to have Pace Maker fitted given my hemi block.

Here is interesting fact did you know Heart blocks can be reversed ... if block is down to medication BUT finding out what medication causes heart blocks in first place IS not that easy to find out.

Guess that be one of my questions AS no one as ever told me about my heart block LET alone what caused it.

Someone I know had one of those 5-day heart monitor things. They're much more reliable for detecting what's going on with the heart. When a doctor listens to your heart, unless something happens at that exact moment your heart can seem fine. Monitoring over 5 days gives a better overall picture. Wishing you all the best 👍

Hi hungryhuff years ago had holter one THAT was when it was decided I don’t need pacemaker.

Defo agree give better picture of what’s going on SO Can’t wait really as am sick of feeling like crap 💩 and my regular doctors thinking am nurotic.

Yes, HH is quite right. My brother wore one for a while too. It proved he had an arrhythmia but nothing done as a result, runs in the family. All other possible problems checked out while they were at it, but nothing treatable found. He leads a very active life, after a lung resection years ago too.

All the best, Ajax, hope things go well for you.

Glad something is being done JAS so that’s a positive thing.

I had no idea medication could cause a blockage. Pete still has his but his heart coping well so far.

I wish you well. Xxxx

Sounds a fairly typical reaction from the doctors! My cardiologist says he thinks my breathlessness is more from my lung disease while my lung doctor thought it was my heart. He has now decided it is both, what a surprise! I hope you get some proper answers soon, this hanging about while they try to agree is very troubling for we patients and doesn’t help us much. Good luck xxx

in reply toCarnival567

I can say my lung doctor WAS not one bit intrested BUT that’s usually how lung treatment is as a hole I think.

But I do feel my breathing issues are down to my heart issues NOT sure what I prefer

It's possible to have a heart attack with no noticeable symptoms and an ECG that doesn't appear unusual. The two blood tests to detect troponin are far more accurate indicators of a heart attack. I have an internal cardiac monitor fitted 9 months ago. It still didn't detect the 3 heart attacks I had in Feb, March and April. My only symptoms each time was numbness in my left hand, ECG's were unremarkable though 6 hour tropinin results exceeded 2500 each time.

Hi again JAS and I think that you've nothing to loose by having the home 5 day monitor. You may get some AGREED reasons or explanations as to your heart issues. Do it and see what they come up with. Best of luck nearer the time.

Golly you really have had a very stressful time of late. It must be difficult to hear conflicting opinions from health professionals. Not sure what one does when they leave a patient with more questions than answers.

Hope you get it all sorted out, properly, very soon.
