salbutamol inhaler and Buscopan.

Looking for a bit of advice. The patient leaflet for Buscopan indicates not to take one if you use Salbutamol Inhaler.I've used my inhaler this morning and I am needing to take a Buscopan to help with my IBS.Has anyone took both or would it be safe to take a Buscopan a few hours after I have taken my inhaler. It doesn't tell you on the leaflet what the side effect would be.Any advice would be very welcome.

The leaflet says that the anticholinergic effect of some inhalers may be intensified by Buscopan. I have no idea what this may mean in practice and suggest you ring your nearest large pharmacy (open Sundays) for advice.

Thanks for the advice.

The inhalers raise the heart rate and buscopan would increase it quite dramatically which will intensify normal rhythms xxx

Salamol and buscopan both increase your heart rate so taking both together may not be ideal seek advice before taking the buscopan xxx
