Hi everyone, My name is Jeanette & I'm from glasgow,,,I suffer from COPD ( 5yrs) ,my main problem is my breathing,I also suffer from constant pain (upper left sided back pain) Lung Area ,,,

Hi Jeanette, I was diagnosed in February with COPD. Issues with breathing seem to be common with us COPDers. Do you use inhalers or have medication to help? Welcome to the site, make yourself at home xx

Hi Diesel12,,yeah I use spiriva,seretide & also use my nebulizer,,my doc cant seem to find what is causing the constant pain,had the usual,blood tests,x-rays ect,thanks for your reply x

Hi Jeanette nice to meet you I live in Edinburgh. And welcome to the site. I have COPD and a small showing of bronchiectasis. I don't get pain due to my lung problems. Most of my pain is due to psoriatic arthritis. You will find this site very helpful. And the people are very friendly take care x

Hi I know the feeling. Is your doc your GP or is it a consultant at the respritary clinic.

Hi Jeanette I would ask your GP to refer you to the respiritary clinic to see a consultant. I see a consultant very 6 months. I am seeing one at the moment due to having a low immune system and my medication is not helping me. What stage are you at. I am severe. The consultant would do tests to see why you are in so much pain. Take care X

I'm stage 3,,,Ive only seen a consultant twice I think,maybe i should be seen more,im going to make an appointment with my GP Thanks for your advice Nottobad x

Hi snazzy and welcome to the site. Yes, those of us with COPD can't remember what it's like to breath without thinking about it! But agree with the others that you should try to get this pain looked into.

Hello and welcome to the forum.

I agree with the others I would ask to see a consultant again. Everyone on here are really nice and very helpful. Hope you get the pain sorted soon.
