Hello podmore, have you finished your antibiotics? Starting to attend the gym is a good move, though some find the sauna makes breathing easier I know that others struggle with it. If you are feeling great than you must be doing something right! :)

I am not sure I understand what you mean by gambling with your life. I hope you are taking good care of yourself. Don't forget that if something is worrying you or getting you down you can always call the lovely BLF nurses on 03000 030 555 between 9 and 5. x

My lungs are well over 100! Take no notice. Feeling tired all the time can get you down though. Do try to pace yourself, doing just a little at a time. Do you have any help? Please ring the BLF, they will be able to give advice on how to get any help you need. Hang in there. xx

Good morning, The British Lung Foundation (BLF) are the ones who run this forum. Their telephone number is 03000 030 555. They have nurses there who can help and give advice. They will ring you back and help all they can. They will be there until 5 pm today.

Hi podmore, congrats on the gym work,it should help you. I wouldn't be worrying to much about the 'lung age' I always think you're as good as you feel,I don't take to much notice of numbers!

I'm not sure either about the gambling with your life? So can't comment on that

Take care, Wendells xx

I suffer from Bronchiectasis.I've been to the gym for a number of years. In between I had some nasty infections that required hospital treatment. I am now with permanent antibiotics to treat TB and pneumonia. yet, I've gone back to the gym because it does me good

So, fear not and exercise!
