About 9 years now for me.
Been on ambulatory oxygen since 2000. As my copd gets worse i am using more oxygen to do sometimes the simplest of tasks. Fortuately dont need oxygen 24/7 yet
Just a thought I wonder if the helpline would be able to help you and answer your questions - you seem very worried. Call us on 03000 030 555 They might be able to put your mind at rest xxx
8 Years - but have met folk been on 02 for 15 -20 years.
9 years for me - 24/7 now but 15 hours daily at first, which fit in well with my working hours.
On oxygen 8 years 5 months now. Supposed to be minimum of 15 hours a day, but sometimes I do less, sometimes more - it depends what I'm doing and how I feel.
At the moment feeling good on it, and plan to keep on keeping on for as long as possible. Jan
I have been on oxygen 8 years.
I've been using oxygen for about seven years. I moved onto "L-TOT" (15 hours a day or more) about 18 months ago. Hated the idea, but it's a Godsend in disguise.
Cheers

I've been on O2 since 2008. 3lts/24hrs plus 5lt ambulatory.
5 years. Was supposed to be 15 hours a day but I feel so much better with it than without I use it all the time.
I have been on oxygen for almost 5yrs, unfortunately my usage is not as light as most I hear on here. I have severe copd, stage 4, so I'm on oxygen 24/7 on 6ltrs. I walk around my house on a 50ft. cord so I can move freely from room to room, upstairs and down. Sounds terrible, yes, but at then end of the day, I'm still here enjoying my life and thanking God for everyday of it. I'm hoping to get on the transplant list soon, and through God's grace and mercy one day be able to be free from the chain of copd!
