I would like to know when you all take your inhaler in the morning and at night. It is really the night time one as I take mine before going to bed and I wonder whether I am taking it to late.

I take Spiriva & Symbicort in the morning, then Symbicort again before bed. Your doc or resp nurse will be able to advise you when the best time to take your meds. Do you feel your inhalers are not working well? If so book a check up, maybe you need them changed or adjusted. Take care

I take seretide 2 puffs about 8 or 9 in morning then normally 12 hours later , seebri round same time in morning and nebuliser and nebuliser again early evening

I take spiriva and seretide in the morning then 12 hrs later the seretide again , spiriva is 24 hrs acting and seretide is 12 hrs , I normally do 7am - 7pm give or take an hour each way, with ventolin and nebuliser in between as required.. Although sometimes I have fell asleep or forget my second dose at night and wake up needing my nebuliser, but I don't do it to often 😜😜 Xx Sonia xx

Hi corsaking, the following is an excellent chart for inhaler sequence.

I think the idea is to pace them about 12 hours apart, so we have continuous protection - but sometimes I

forget!

I try to take the doses 12 hours apart (7 am & 7 pm; 2 x Symbicort each time) but that requires levels of organisation & practicality that I simply don't possess. I don't think the variances of a few hours either side cause any significant problems.

Logically if taking two doses daily you should leave eight hours between each (8hours sleep) but I suspect most are like me and have first soon after rising and the next just before going to bed, which now I think about it is a bit daft. But then I,ve always been a bit daft, too late to change now lol.D.

That's the way I take them so I am not the only daft one.😊

I suppose if you take Seretide or any steroid inhaler it might be better to take it a bit earlier as it might affect sleep.Trying to remember all the different time to take different things is such hard work,if I get altziemers I,m bu....ed lol. 😧 D.
