Hi Patiwati doesn't always work on one course you sometimes have to have a second or even third as in my case. You will get there just look after yourself and keep up with the meds. I assume your under the dr go back and tell him your feeling no better as yet. Do take care and hope your feeling better soon

You are certainly not a moaning Minnie if the antibiotics have not done the job you will be needing more, better to be seen earlier rather than later.

take care

Your not moaning at all, it sometimes takes time, don't think your dr or anyone else will not understand..........moaning indeed......should hear me when I get going. You just concentrate on getting yourself better, keep in touch and let us know how you are.

Do you not have steroids as well when you have an infection, you may find the Antibiotic isn't working for you. I would go back to the doctos.

I had to have 5 courses of antibiotics and 4 of steroids to get rid of my last flare up. Still very breathless but at least original infection gone. You should see GP ASAP if still unwell rather than waiting a few days.

Did you have steroids for the first five days? Do you have other inhalers? - a reliever may not be enough.

It often takes two courses of doxycycline to clear an infection, and my consultant has said it can take up to six weeks for breathlessness to resolve BUT you know yourself and you know if you're not right. That's the reason for you to go back to your GP you're not better - not because you're a moaning minnie.

Really hope you feel better soon. Take care, Sue x

I have to alternate the anti's but still seem pretty breathless. steroid do help but they have side effects as well.

I was only on a fortnight's course of doxycycline but I didn't feel the benefits until around the 8/9 day.
