Evening everyone, as you know over the 5 years I've been having a problem with my hemoglobin iron blood count drifting all over the place, I've had a few transfusions to top up my levels, most recently in January two infusions of iron/hemoglobin.
I was at my hemoglobin specialists today, my levels are all fine again however they now want to do further tests, they mentioned they want to do a F.o.b test to see if I've got blood I'm my toilet area, I did mention did they think I might have cancer? the reply was, we can't rule it out, shocking as they have had 5 years to check this out, I've had cameras in here, up there, ct scans, xray and now this!!!
I stated surely if ive had cancer somewhere in my body un detected for over 5 years surely I would have some form of symptoms, his reply was possibly but we can't rule out cancer.
A well one step forward and a big step back, I was doing so well changing my life around with this bullous emphysema and now this.

Keep doing well and stepping forward, David. Nobody has said it is cancer so far, and the fitter you are physically and mentally, the better you can cope with things.
Hi I have had blood in my urine for ages, I have had a bladder scan, X-rays, ct scan but no reason was found.
Of course I googled and found that blood in the urine plus infrequent urination which I have can be aside effect of one of my medications. Difficult to prove though so I am trying another medication instead .
I was fast tracked for tests as they thought it may be cancer at first. Sadly one of my friends did have it so it's best to get it checked out.
Of course you're worried but try not to jump to conclusions (know that isn't easy). Try to keep calm & positive till you get your results which hopefully will come back clear. Best of luck & all best wishes.
