The say with lung diseases suffers it could be mild form of strep but if you not got chest infection unlikely to be that but could be oral thrush from steroid inhaler use.

I use paracetamol when mine feels like barb wire but that constipates me

I also get the same feeling in my throat, it make me cough violently and feels like I'm choking, It seems to be very random and seems to just come out of the blue. I've had a bout of it today, a bit scary. x

It would be nice if there was something that could be done about it or knew what caused it, I get a bit anxious now when I go out because it seems to be happening more often. x

Do you think it could be an allergy. I sneeze a lot, also cough a lot and find perfume sets me off. Never have cut flowers in the house as off I go again. I take cetirizine every night.

Hi Rusty. I too have copd and sometimes get this rough feeling at the side of the throat and also a lot of snuffling and sneezing. It is due to inhalers which produce this reaction.

Annoying but better than a cold.

Best wishes

I get the same, just can't stop the tickly cough so I got from boot a small plastic bottle and put some mucadyne (cough) syrup and tack a small mouthful followed by a mouthful of water, it stops it, seriously give it a try, the strong plastic bottle is only about 50p just don't drink too much,
