Hi Kirendo, do you have medication for acid reflux? You need to ring your doctor and have a phone consultation to explain what is happening. If things are bad today or get worse then please contact 111.

Wishing you well. Xxxx

As suggested by sassy59

- make a telephone appointment to speak with your doctor about these symptoms who will be able to advise and prescribe something for you.

- Refer to the 111 website and go through the online form for symptoms, once completed, recommendations will be advised

Hope you are soon feeling better.

Sounds to me like you need some anti reflux omeprazole or ranitidine. Speak to your GP on the phone as time allows hopefully they can sort something to help you. Stay safe 💜💜

Like others have said, you need to contact your doctor as soon as you are able as they will be able to help you the best. Good luck x

As everyone has already said, you need to contact your doctor about this.

If a person has reflux to the extent you are describing, they can inhale it and get something called aspiration pneumonia. This can be serious. I have had it, and do not want it again!

Meanwhile, you could try raising the head of your bed by a few inches. This is easier to do with some beds than others. I couldn't do it with mine so bought wedges from Amazon that you either use like a pillow or can go under the mattress to raise that up. This helps the acid to stay down in your stomach instead of rising up into your throat.

I have had acid reflux for years and this has been highlighted as the probable reason for my chest problems. I have found that it has much improved since losing a couple of stone (I was in the obese category - now still 'overweight' but not massively so). Certainly the weight loss has helped me more than any medication has, although I still take Lansoprazole twice a day and really know it if I miss a dose.

I hope you soon get this sorted out as I know how worrying and miserable it can be.

xx Moy
