Exacerbation with infection.

This is what my Doctor diagnosed today, felt un well same as the rest of the family with the blasted cough/cold virus going around. But as you know those of us with COPD everything is umpteen times worse. Emergency trip to surgery breathing difficult and chest whistling rather loudly, more antibiotics and a course of steroids. Oh joy fingers crossed I'm on the mend by Christmas. Anyone else know what it's like to cough so hard its like having an electric shock through your body. Hey ho onwards and upwards, breath easy forum friends.

So sorry to hear you've picked up an infection. It's that time of year when all the family end up with colds.

At least by starting the meds you should be over the worst by Christmas, fingers crossed.

Have a lovely Christmas 🎄🎅🏻🎁

Oh yes. Even I who am mild suffer more than others without copd. Hope you are a lot better by Christmas. x

Oh dear, you better get rid of it before Christmas😉 Good luck with it,keep warm,

Happy Xmas to you 🎄⛄️🍷

My good wishes to you Blossom21. Hoping your virus is completely gone very shortly and you can enjoy Christmas time.

So sorry you have picked up an infection. It's the time of year we all dread. I find a vaporiser and good old fashioned vick rubbed on the chest and soles of my feet helps plus lots of lemon and honey. Take care and I hope you feel better soon x

Hi Blossom21, hope you feel better in time to have a nice Christmas. Understand what you are saying for some of us the cough is the worst part of the illness. This latest bug is really severe for those of us with existing lung conditions. As you say hey ho onwards and upwards, take care and keep warm.
