The affordability of travel insurance will depend on your age, medical condition and the geographic area where you will be travelling. I found that John Lewis travel insurance is a good starting point. The BLF says that they have a publication showing insurers which cater to people with lung problems. But their list is as useful as a chocolate teapot.
Thankyou so much for your help. I have now found a good policy that I have taken out with Asda for £109.66. Which gives me great peace of mind. So many policies don't cover copd or if they do, they're very expensive. So worth checking out Asda's for a policy for anyone that is looking for travel insurance. X
I
Age UK are ok with COPD if you are only on 4 or less meds for it.
All clear Insurance seem ok with COPD,just taken one out for myself going to Germany to visit my Son.
I TRIED INSURE AND GO AND ASDA, NO LUCK AS I HAVE INTERSTITIAL LUNG DISEASE, PERIPHAL VASCULAR DISEASE AND OTHER STUFF TOO STAYSURE NO GOOD EITHER.
THEY WILL INSURE ME BUT NOT FOR THE PRE EXISTING MEDICAL CONDITIONS, NOT SURE ABOUT GOING TO CANADA WITHOUT THO
