The BLF travel insurance list is as useful as a chocolate teapot.
Oh dear, did you not have a good experience with our list HuwieHex?
If you have any particularly bad/good feedback, we'd love to know.
Thanks,
Biddy
I am sorry to say he is right, Biddy. I tried most on the list a few years ago and some would not cover me whilst others wanted exorbitant premiums. I went elsewhere.
You can go on 'go compare' and choose insurance with existing conditions. They even have sarcoidosis. The big issue with any insurance is those unexpected hospital admittances - they send premiums soaring.
Hi, I have been told that INSURANCEWITH.COM phone 08458687234 is good for pre existing medical conditions and very reasonable. I haven't tried them myself yet, as I have only just found out about them, but will be having a look in the next few days.
Hope this helps.
Christine.
My friend who has Atrial fibrillation and has frequent bad episodes often meaning the cancellation or curtailing of holidays in the recent past managed to get insurance through a company called voyager. On her last holiday she had to be brought home with a heart attack and they sent. A Doc out to accompany here home and because she was too ill to come home st their allotted time they paid for her to stay in a hotel and get another flight s week later.
Hope you find a good insurance company. Have you tried the comparison websites?
Sian
Not a helpful comment, I'm afraid... Just be prepared for a very nasty shock with the size of the quotations. I had one for £4000 for a three week trip to the US!,

Hi Frank, I was looking for travel insurance when I was first diagnosed and rang quite a number on the Health Unlocked list. Many of them would not insure me at all. Eventually I range Able2travel. The initial cost for cover was very expensive as I was in and out of hospital at the time, however, each year I have improved and now the cost is lower. For two of us both on medication (in my case lots) for annual policy £400plus.
Sorry to frighten you but this is the reality of being on loads of medication. I wish you luck and hope you find something more suited to your pocket. Good luck Maximonkey.
Try Avanti found them very reasonable in comparison to others and I have multiple health issues.
I haven't posted on this site before because I've only just registered but have been looking and getting to know some of you - feels a bit uncomfortable because it feels it's behind your backs. So hello, and it's good to know you're all there. Good for me, though none of you want to be in a way, I'm sure. I've got severe COPD and have had to use a BIPAP mask for about 18 months etc. We're having a holiday in UK at Easter and I decided to insure against cancellation because I get frequent and bad chest infections.
Try Guest First - 0345 90 80 101. It's costing me £55 for eight days. Good luck with it, frank24.
