Holiday Insurance

I am planning a 7 night trip to Spain and wondered what insurance company people use as I have COPD, am diabetic (type 2) and have asthma. I have a feeling the insurance may cost the same as the holiday.

Hi there, I always go on line and compare, this year I got one with a company called Makesure Insurance very reasonable for worldwide insurance, so worth trying for European destinations.

You are very lucky to get your Medical insurance so cheap

We are going away in September I have severe COPD on Ambiglatury Oxygen had two lung reductions they was charging me £1250 for 10 days so we opted for. Year cover for £1500 so we are going to book two more holidays for 2019 we went with All clear I have to use Oxygen on the plane .

I've used Moneysupermarket in the past. They have a good system for recording existing conditions and then referring you to appropriate insurers. No guarantee of cheap price, or even cover at all, but I've always got reasonable rates with 3 existing conditions.

Watched Martin Lewis programme and he mentioned All Clear and Staysure for existing conditions.

Hi, generally you are right the insurance will be very high, there are a few insurers that take on existing ailments, check Google for those. Be prepared for some big figures, they milk people like us. I cannot get anyform of insurance so now go without, I was quoted a figure 0f £1800 + for one trip only. A member on this forum did suggest one company but have deleted the info, try mrs mummsy at BLF she may be able to draw it down.
