Hospital appointment

Received my letter from hospital today, appointment to see respiratory medicine team on 30 Aug.

can anyone tell me what to expect.

If the process has not changed over the many years:

Weight & height. Spyro then depending upon your results. Spyro after an inhaler. Spyro after oxygen. A chat with the Consultant or his Registar. That is about it. They will make recommendations based upon the above for poss physioterrorist. Meds to be prescribed by your GP. Hope this helps. Rib

I had to go in a plastic box and blow up there lilo's I also did it again lying down as I have a problem when flat too. They took some blood from my ear for Co2 I think it was. And then jelly on the belly ultrasound to check hypertension etc.

In my case I had a sleep Apnoea test as well.

If it's the same as my usual visits, height / weight check, spyro test and then a chat with one of the consultant team. Everyone I meet is friendly and helpful. If you have any worries this is the time to get answers from either the nurses or the consultant, so if have a memory like mine write them down.
