So glad you are home horseygirl and now on the mend. Sadly it wont matter how many vaccines we have they wont stop us getting covid, but may help the symptoms. Rest us now, plenty of tlc x
Good morning horseygirl_0103. I am glad your back home and bet you slept better in your own bed. Hope you continue to feel better. And it makes you wonder if the conspiracy theories about these vaccines is true. I am hearing of more people getting covid that had the vaccines. Enjoy your day. Brian
But the vaccines were never developed to stop you getting Covid. They were and are, so that if contracting Covid you are less likely to develop serious illness and complications. In that sense the vaccines are actually working very well, with far fewer people needing hospital treatments.
I agree with they don't stop the virus but suppose stop you getting serious bout of it, but there seems variants about as well. I got a friend he caught covid he had mild flu/cold symptoms but luckily his partner didn't catch it as she got Ms.
thanks . Im know that after a fortnight I ll have another episode -it will always happen because of the condtion but it now scares me that i might get covid worse because apparently it stays in your system for 90 days
im very glad im home im making the most of it because im all too well aware -that in a fortnight it will happen again & of course i will be hospitalised .its more frightning now as ive got covid
i hope i recover completely from covid -my mums got it now -despite me telling her not to visit me in the covid ward I ll never recover rom these episodes -its part of the ILD
My specialist is going to make a date for me to have an oxygen assessment
i ll be taking it easy -until another episode happens in a fortnight It does seriously concern me that i might get covid worse or will they even admit me if i say i have covid
After 10 days you are no longer infectious even if tests still show Covid. There is no reason to think you will get a second dose of Covid in a short time. This happens with very few people. Certainly if you need to be admitted with Covid of course they will do so. You have had a frightening time and am sure the drop in oxygen levels is frightening but try not to worry unnecessarily about things that probably wont happen.Keep calm and concentrate on recovering.
i hope you can keep clear of covid, but its current incarnation is not as bad as the earlier ones. When I had it I had 2 days of feeling rotten, then I started to feel better, though it took me a long time to to recover my energy levels.
i guess like everyone to be fair I ddint think I d get it -I feel like all the 2 & a bit years worth of shielding (so i ddint get covid) have come to nothing
so im a bit disappointed really
ive finished all of my Paxlovid so Ive contacted my GP to see whether i would be elligible for a 2nd course
if they say no i ll be worried about getting worse
Ive always said of covid It really needs its horns well & trully snapping of f
I’ve noticed in a few of your responses you mention being worried. As said in previous reply it’s really important to try to not worry. I know this is hard but I also know that the more stressed people get, the easier it is to pick up infections and so on. Stress can increase risk of all sorts of illnesses so please try to remain calm. Look up ways to meditation and mindfulness which may help…..? Keep strong.
im so glad to be home -i have to make the most of it though because I know that in a fortnight the same thing will happen its part of my ILD As soon as I get my date for O2assessment the better
