Iβm thinking that just now being in hospital is the best place to support you and get the medical care that you need.
Do you have someone to speak for you if youβre not up to it?
I know we tend to prefer not to be in hospital, but I hope it will help sort your problems xx π€

Oh goodness, Garshe, but quite honestly am relieved to know you're in hospital where you need to be for the best treatment. And it seems you bypassed the awful queueing situation you were so rightly worried about. Agree completely with beech. You need someone to do battle on your behalf. Please try to get someone in to do that for you. If doctors "baffled", ask to be seen by the Clinical Lead. Sending all love and very best wishes. Keep us posted.

oh no Sheila hope itβs all sorted asap , we need those dancing shoes back out π€
I have everything crossed for you π
Sorry to hear youβre in hospital, hope they sort you out and you make a speedy recovery x
Hugs to you Sheila π€. My oxygen sats go down to 69-70 just thinking about making a cuppa. I have to turn my machine up to 6-8 to walk about, slowly and comfortably and then I still get breathless. If I sit and do my breathing exercises they do pop up to 80 quite quickly and after a few minutes they will go as far as 90!! Then I feel real healthy π.One morning I woke up and my finger poppet read 100!! I felt like partying!
Your in the best place possible, the tea trolley comes to you. Stay strong and we're all here for you xx
Lesley xx
Hopefully they will sort you out quickly. Best of luck xx
Iβm sorry to hear this news. Sudden drops in lung function are scary I know. I started on oxygen a year ago at no 4 for general activity but since then I have needed increasing amounts of oxygen, I sleep on 3.5 and then up to 8 for activity. I donβt think 4 is so very high, the technician who visits from Bayswater Oxygen says he has people on 15, they have to double up the machines. It is scary and you have my sympathy. I think itβs not uncommon to take a sudden drop and then level off at that lower level. I hope you have some good support. Is it possible to get an oxygen assessment done whilst you are in hospital? The blood test they do from a few drops of blood from your ear? Perhaps they have already done this. I believe respiratory nurses in the community can do this for people who are housebound.
Hoping they will sort you out soon and you can get home.
Sending you love and gentle hugs (((β€οΈ))) xx
Gosh that does sound worrying hope they get you sorted out really quickly best of luck
I was sorry to read that youβre in hospital, but itβs the best place to be to get you sorted.

So sorry it came to this Sheila, but as others have said, you are in the best place for them to find out what's going on. Beech is right, someone needs to be fighting your side "baffled" is not an answer! My daughter was amazing when I was in hospital and didn't have the fight in me!
We are all rooting for you, hope they get to the bottom of things soon. Hugs, Laurie xx
