Well i not looking farward to this next couple or weeks at all ...wednesday off to Birmingham hosp. 50 miles away.to sort out upping my dose of immunoglobulin....levels very low. So weekly infusions at home increased...following Monday acessment for surgery on eyes cos of glaucoma with probably going in couple days later. for first eye to be done . Also awaiting for decesion from d v l a probably stopping me from driving ...thats the biggest worry.funnily enough.think because its out of my hands. Oh well thats me done again. Get it off my chest ( no pun intended ) before bed . Just a thought. Last week my friend got me a little bag with 6 tiny peruvian people in ...you have to take them out of the bag and tell them your worries ......try anythin once. You start worrying if they talk back to you. !!!

Good luck for next week, tell them worry dolls not to make the going too tough. Is it Queen Elizabeth Hospital you are going to? It is a very big hospital and someone told me the other day they have built another piece on to it over the road so don't forget the sat nav(smiles) Joking aside every best wish for a good outcome Sue48

Not familiar with heartlands although it's only 15 miles from us nearer than QE but have a friend who went there and enjoyed her in stay, never been to that hospital for treatment myself so can't comment but thanks for your recommendation, hope your journey is not to bad X

oh my goodness sue, the stress of this alone would,nt be doing you any good,,is that 50 miles each way or 50 miles all in? and in the morning!! i know myself i would be lucky to make that, so i know how you would feel, and then,,more appoints.

,, however it looks like its a great hospital with great specialists, so, hopefully when all this is over you might get somewhere,

its a real blow to loose your licence, but you havent lost it yet:) it might not just happen , who knows,

why not take a flask and a tit-bit,, but dont let the wee men eat it all:),, just make sure their not hungry before you leave:) at least you can spill over your worries to them lol, and get things off your chest:)

i wish you well sue and hopefully all will turn out to be a good outcome,,

thinking of you,,,jimmy xxx

im in kind of the same boat as you, frightened of loosing my licence,,my left foot is completely sore/numb/usless,[its an underlying illness apart from copd, which in fact has contributed to end stage copd,,,, so they blinken say lol, i will be here a while yet:!!!!!)]] but i could poss get an automatic,,, but then theres the eyes,, im waiting on a home eye test on the 27th, i know their bad, the last time [a year ago] they told me i had the beginnings of "macular degeneration"and other things!!!,, so its just "wait and see" i havent driven for sometime, but still have my licence and car,,,. but, my, i could go on,, but then probably most of us could:)

Its 50 miles each way. Depending on which way sat nav takes us. We never seem to go same way twice. ! And you can guarantee by ftime we get to end of our road me and hubby had fallout. !!!! Its ok coming home cos it doesnt matter whatvtime you get back. So no stress. Isnt it funnyhow you can get so stressed when your nnot verry well. . My mum has macular degeneration and she just ggave up driviing at christmas. ...mind you she is 97. And had it 20 odd years. ( huge sighs of releif all round may i add !!! ) i thhink if you decide not to drive yourself. Its not as bad than some one in an orrice who doesnt know you trlling you you cant drive. ! Even if. Ou get done for drunk driving you get your licence back. But with glaucoma you cant ever drive. Because its perminant. Anyway i wont start having a rant about that or i,ll be here all day. !!!! Sue

hi sue,,its me again:) my goodness, thats some journey, especially when your not so well,no wonder you fall out with hubby , but i am sure deep down he will understand.yes, its a wory with your licence, but at least you have your hubby,,,,, im on my own,, and once they take it from me,, thats it,!!!,,,, believe or not sue, my old mother is still living at 93,, she is almost blind with macular degeneration, thats what worries me,, i am also waiting on a dexa scan for osteoporosis, she also has this very badly, this also worries me, as i have ankylosing spondulitis and been on heavy steroids, so a real candidate,,, but we wait and see,,,,,,. one thing sue, theres nowt wrong with the old mothers brain:) shes as sharp as a button, she often phones and reminds me of appoints etc,, and can crack jokes like nothing on earth:),, but you can see her failing, bodily a bit now, such a shame, but a great witty old lady.

anyway sue, for some reason my oxygen level has dropped dramaticly!!! i of to put neb on and put oxygen back on, fell a bit wobbly,,jimmy

The thing with this disease is itseems to bring so many others with it . Steroids being main candidate ,,but i allways say without them i wouldnt be here now thats for sure been on them continually for about 30 years but managed to see my 2 kids msrried. And both have children one is 14 and one is 20. So of that i thankfull. .i have a 4 monthly infusion for osteoporosis and that keeps it at bay. So perhaps you be offered that. It. Only takes about an hour and not much hassel. In scheem of things. ! They do it at my local hosp so no big journey for that !! Well hope your sats gone up by now. Just going watch casualty.....es if we dont get enough hosp visits. Nite n bless. Sue
