I’m just getting fed up with this, got diagnosed a year ago and have posted on here before and everyone was very kind.
I’m just getting fed up with coughs, colds and chest infections. I have a good week then I get back on track and now I have scold and a cough, no energy, I just seem to sleep all the time.
I also have scared kidneys from child hood so I also get kidney infections and utis all my life which drain me of energy.
I volunteer walk a therapy dog on a Sunday and I have had to cancel , it seems to be every other week
My question is shall I just drag my self out of bed and do it despite feeling horrible coughing and sneezing?
I’m signed off work and if I go out I always where a mask , I’m constantly putting gel o my hands , so I just do t understand why I’m getting it all the time ?
Thanks

Hi. Sometimes things just seem to go on and on . Seems never ending. I have been much the same since early December. I push myself to do things but also make time for rest.At the moment I feel I could sit and watch TV all day but I know thats not good for me. But at the same time we need to listen to our bodies. .
I have started taking vitimins to try and get me through winter without catching any more bugs. . I hope you health improves soon.
Hi I know how you feel as I am currently having the same issue, infection November, covid and infection December, covid again January and chest infection February and still on my chest it's a viscous cycle of goo.I am hoping that this will subside for everyone during the next couple of weeks as it's draining. Roll on spring
I'm sorry you feel so bad. Does walking in cold weather make it worse? I think it is better to take a little exercise once or twice every day, and then rest to recover. I have to take mine indoors at the moment as cold weather is one of my triggers. I hope you soon find a way to make yourself better.
You have hit on a subject which quite a lot of us are dealing with at the the moment. With all the ailments that are surrounding us at the moment it's hard to say what is COPD related and what is in the air for everyone. I wake up and think should I get up or just stay here, should I get dressed or not bother? I picture myself picking up my oxygen and going for a walk around the nearby park but feel so washed out that I switch on the TV instead. I have decided that instead of giving up something for Lent this year I will put something in and be more positive. x
since I started talking vitamin D about 6 years ago I’ve stopped getting colds and chest infections. I used to have them all the time prior. You need a vit D on its own as a multi vitamin not strong enough. Worth a try I’ve got all my family on them and they cold free as well.
Another little but important tip....have your heating on to keep yourself warm but have your window open a tiny bit in your lounge and bedroom for a while for fresh air just in the daytime if you don't have the energy to go out ... I say this because your central heating can affect your breathing ...,
hi there, you sound just like me! It does get you down without doubt. To get back in a routine requires a lot of energy and positivity. The problem the world is having to deal with is the aftermath of a very strong virus. Since Covid many people are suffering with pulmonary infections. It is no doubt a difficult time.
When I feel miserable I find someone who will listen to me off load, but also suggest a plan to get me back on target. It does not work ever time, but I also recognise that I’m entitled to feel frustrated.
Keep fighting, allow yourself to be vulnerable xxx
I think since we aren't required to wear masks anymore these bugs are out to get us!!They seem to be aggressive! I had bronchitis in Dec and in Jan came down with a sinus infection that has caused me to lose my taste😧The last few days I have had a stomach bug with a fever..... never in my life have I had multiple infections in a few months time. I did have a cortisone injection in my knee.... I do know that can lower your resistance but this is ridiculous !! I have my knee replacement two weeks from today. I just want to heal from ghe surgery and work very hard in rehab and get my life back.
