Hi.i just wanted to share as if I can make anybodies life with asthma easier I will. 3 months ago I was given the.option to try Trimbow triple inhaler and believe me I had problems with it.See earlier post. I had throat like swallowing broken glass felt like my throat was burning and kept thinking I was going down with something.zThen I realised it was the Trimbow so rang nurse. She advised me to use a spacer plus gargle & rinse and try for another week or 2.Did as asked problem went away. And boy am I over the moon I did.Every summer for over 20odd years I dreaded July Aug early Sept as I was soo ill withasthma.i could hardly walk 5 yards without gasping couldn't sleep for more than. 3 hours sitting ip in chair and still woke up gasping for breath very scary dreaded the nights . Chewed through a full ventolin within 2 to 3 days and used a nebuliser.Been known to have 3 x courses steroids throughout summer Life was a misery couldn't go anywhere.Well I've had the best summer ever the trimbow has worked a treat.Ive only had 2 bad morns in July not as wheezy coughing less .Been able to do jobs without near collapse and hardly used 2 inhalers since end of June .I know it won't suit all but I'm raving to all about my wonderful improvement.Hubby is happy too as it affected our life. Thanks for reading hope u all find something that helps too xx

Trimbow
same here peak flow and everything else improved since on Trimbow. First year that I have got through the summer without needing prednisone.
Gd to hear it works so well 4u xx
Thank you so much
another shout out for trimbow , it’s also got less steroids. So hoping I won’t bruise as much
Me too! I was switched to Trimbow about 6 months ago, having been having 7/8 courses of prednisolone a year for the past few years. Since I started it I’ve only had one course and that was due to covid. It’s made a massive difference to my life. I sometimes even forget I have asthma for days at a time now, which could never have been a possibility in the past. Soon after I started taking it, I can only describe my lungs as suddenly feeling like a cave that could be filled with air when I breathe in, like the air can get to all areas. Maybe a strange description but I can’t remember ever feeling like that before. I’m hoping now I might be able to go to the lower dose version at some point.
very pleased to hear this! I also struggle from early spring to autumn and still a bit in the winter. About to try spiriva and a mucolitic tablet in addition to my medication and hope it can make a difference!
