I'm really anxious about having my booster this time due to some reactions Was really ill last Christmas into the New Year not with Covid but a pneumonia that I couldn't shift despite numerous antibiotics. I now have bronchiectasis along with my asthma! I have booked it as I'm a front line worker but still doesn't stop me worrying.🤔

Covid booster
I’ve not long had mine, Saturday in fact. Nothing to worry about. All went well.
It can affect people in different ways, please don't advise this person that there is 'nothing to worry about' it's not your call.
I was in fact implying that it was me who had nothing to worry about.
I def will not be having the booster. Following the last one I have been on 3 types of different inhaler, my health has suffered dreadfully with aches and pains in muscles and joints which literally is only just starting to ease. Not felt at all right with both asthma and health generally. Just not worth the risk.
I will not be having mine, I was seriously Ill last winter after the last one, I still wonder if my booster was part of the cause. I’ve had Covid several times now anyway
Im not having it either. I haven't got a big family but everyone's been so poorly with booster and all of them fit and healthy. I'm the sickly one. I think they got it to protect me and have asked me not to get it. Months later they still in a mess. Weigh up pros and cons.
I have had 4 Covid vaccinations, I have been fine with all of them apart from the very first (not used any more) which made me sick for a few hours. I feel really sad that I can't have one this year as my asthma is well controlled (which is a good thing obviously). Obviously everyone responds differently and the same people respond differently sometimes at different times. I have not had Covid yet as I live alone and I am very fortunate in that I have the luxury of being able to pretty much chose the risks that I take. I have in the past felt a bit off with the Flu jab (although usually fine), and of course a horrid sneaky flu comes along sometimes which gets around that sometimes but I have still had every one which has been available to me. I am not trying in any way to minimise the horrible illnesses that you have had recently but you may have just been really, really unlucky in terms of the bugs you were exposed to which the Covid jab and Flu jab (if you have one) could not have protected you against. As your lungs are now less well than they were you maybe have more reasons to have your Covid jab and I am glad that you are going to have it. I understand you being nervous though and hope that it will treat you kindly xxx.
hi I have bronchiectasis and asthma along with a few other health problems I had pneumonia years ago which didn’t improve like it should and it was discovered I had bronchiectasis then after a scan. Looking back I’d say I had it in childhood due to breathlessness in sport and getting really ill every winter. I had my covid booster last week and was okay. I had pfizer I had sanofi the time before and pfizer for the ones before that. We all react differently but don’t stress about it. 🤗
