Hi I just joined this website yesterday... not sure what to expect..... My son has Severe Chronic allergic asthma, he is 10 years old..... I am really worried as he is taking so much medication and he is only the 3rd child in the uk that has been administered Omalizumab under the age of 12....... If there is anyone there with a child on omalizumab I would love to hear from you.... especially as to why epi - pens are not prescribed in the uk for Omalizumab but are in all other countries... John is also on Montelukast 5mg, slo-phyllin 250mg x 2, Prenisolone 40mg 5x 5mg, Amoxicillyn, Losec 40mg, Seretide, Serevent, Salbutamol and has just come of a 24 hr subcutaneous infusion of Bricanyl.......

Hi again !

Forgot to tell you before that Em is about to start her Omalizumab soon.

We are just waiting for her IgE to drop a little....almost there. Will let you know how she gets on. She's the first one for our hospital but she is nearly 13.

Dont know why they dont carry epipens but Em has one for other allergies. Let you know if i find out.
