Strange feeling under the skin

Hi, I'm new here, I have 4 different types of arthritis, I noticed that most of you talk about the feeling of pins and needles, I think that's maybe what I'm experiencing, feels like bee's under my skin, I'm on biologic injections,

hmmm when I first developed RA my joints felt as if on fire.Now ( been on treatment 9 years) I get similar feeling, usually as I get near my next dose of meds.

If I feel what you call the pins /needles , tingling below the skin I up my water intake.

Hi perhaps google formication - careful with the spelling (!) though. The sensation of insects crawling under the skin? It comes up occasionally in the PMR forum and does seem to be associated with inflammatory disease and some medications including biologics I believe. All the best.

Yes! I do. But I also have Polymyalgia and this comes up quite often on that forum (I belong to both), I think there was a post two weeks ago headed ‘formication’ that you may wish to look for, as had plenty of replies! Or search on that word or search on ‘skin crawling’ perhaps! It’s easy to get into another forum in Healthunlocked. Hope you find it OK!
