New member to the arthritis group

I just found out that I have rheumatoid arthritis. Unfortunately it is not the only disease I have that produces pain. I also have another autoimmune disorder called polymyalgia rheumatica. Although my rheumatologist is thinking that I don't have PMR and that all along it was RA. And lastly I have suffered from lower back pain for 13 years. So I am in a great deal of pain these days. And this joint pain is actually fairly new. I hope none of you take offense to this but I wish I didn't need to be in this group. But I'm in the PMR group and the Pain Group already and I know this site is full of wonderful people. I get a lot of great insight into my conditions from this site. I'm sure everybody in this group is as supportive as my other groups. I'm looking forward to getting to know each of you.

Perfectly understand your feelings sweetie, I too have other autoimmune diseases along with RA. Sjogren's syndrome, Vasculitis and Nodular Prurigo. Also have a complete mixed bag of unrelated conditions. I belong to 6 communities I wouldn't be without.

I'm going to be tested for Sjogren's in 2 weeks. I have the typical dry mouth and dry eyes and I thought maybe that was where my joint pain was coming from until I had the MRI that showed the arthritis. I have five autoimmune disorders plus if my Sjogren's test is positive that will be my 6th one. Fortunately they don't add up to pain.

Hypothyroidism, asthma, alopecia areata, PMR, RA, Prediabetes, and if my lip biopsy is positive then I will add SS.

RA, SS, Vasculitis, OA, OS, Bronchiectasis, Hypertension, Cancer, Nodular Prurigo. Cataracts.
