I am in Indonesia. My doctor prescribed Etoricoxib 60mg once a day. He said it is an NSAID that does not have the same gastric issues as other NSAIDs. Might be worth asking your doctor about it. It seems to be effective though perhaps not as effective as the Naproxen i was prescribed in UK (which does suffer the gastric issues)

I tried it for a while but dont think it helped. Im on paracetamol and aspirin at the moment which seems to work better than ibuprofen although frowned on by some doctors. Also turmeric. And Dad swore by cod liver oil.

Hi hon, they give glucosamine/ chondroitin to race horses via injection for inflammation. I have a friend who's a vet and she told me a human would need to start max strength of the joint tab at age 21 and take it for 30 years for it to have any impact on their joints . So don't waste your money . X

I tried glucosamine, although my doc's all said I was wasting my money. After several years and finally needing a knee replacement anyway I stopped taking it, never seemed to do anything, but I agree with sandylo, it is worth a try, you might have a different result, do check with your dr. though especially if taking other medication just in case of counter indications, though I don't know of any. It is suppose to rebuild cartiledge thus eliminating pain, there are programs at some of the Big Hospitals now, whereby they implant and regrow cartiledge, I was not a canidate and it does require surgery, but may be worth looking into, depends on your situation. If it is overall pain relief then I don't imagine that glucosamine or any of the above will be helpful.

i switched to feldene gel [no gut problems with gel] but now use biofreeze plant based gel, rollon etc.

Hello, have you ever tried an Ibuprofen gel?My GP prescribes Fenbid. I rub it into the painful parts, and no stomach problems.

Hi. I have tried Devils Claw,Glucosmine, Rosehip & they were a waste of time. I'm now taking tramadol & co codamol 30/500. I still have some pain.

I have arthritis & I have tried all your mentioned medication & they never gave me any relief. I am now taking co-codamol 30/500mgs & Tramadol 400mgs daily but I'm still in pain. I have an appointment at the Hospital in January 2018 for a steroid injection.
