Treatment with Sativex must be initiated and supervised by a physician with specialist expertise in treating this patient population.

NB. Sativex is a Schedule 4 Part 1 controlled drug. There are no additional requirements for prescription in the NHS other than those that apply to all Prescription Only Medicine (POMs). FP10PCD requirements do not apply when Sativex is prescribed privately. Acquisition or disposal of Sativex must be recorded for a minimum of 2 years. Pharmacists do not need to record Sativex in their controlled drug registers, although this is strongly recommended by the Home Office.

I agree with the other reply. I have to say that I know a fair number of people who've requested Sativex but no-one who has been successful in obtaining a prescription.

That said, in states in the US where MM is legal, and people have a card to use it, the cost of the 'OTC' version of Sativex is comparative buttons relative to the UK prescription cost.

Holland and Barrett sell hemp oil which does not contain CBD. It is produced from hemp seeds not buds and leaves where the cbd is. You can buy cbd vape for the same price if you shop around online.

Hi shonaG , I tried H+B CBD oil which is a low pwecentage but all it seemed to do was give me a headache then severe migraine, so I darent try the CBD Brothers oil which is a higher percentage so stronger.

How can H+B call it CBD oil if it does not contain CBD?

Having looked via the link it does say seed oil and paste on the ingredients. I’m confused now🤨

Does it say CBD or does it say Hemp? I've only seen them advertise hemp oil which people confuse with cbd oil - seeds can have slight traces but it is minimal and no different to buying hemp seed milk - traces if you are lucky. CBD shouldn't give you headache, try another oil, you can use it in edibles too which slows down absorption but lasts a lot longer if you are worried about stronger dose.

just hecked says oil + cbd that is cbd that would be in the hemp paste which I presume is basically mashed leaves and bud - oil has no cbd as it hasn't been extracted from the plant just mashed up plant added. This is very expensive also can't see amount of cbd in it, for same price I bought 90ml 30 mg cbd high vg vape liquid

Ok, might be worth me trying a different one then. I did get some from CBD Brothers but after the awful migraine with the H+B CBD, I gave the CBD Brothers liquid away. Maybe I should try it. I don’t fancy vaping as I’ve never smoked. Thanks shonaG

Hi, I recently started using CBD oil five days now, i suffer with arthritis and SAD also cervical spondylosis. i bought it off ebay it's 100% cannabis oil 250Mg it's from a company called CANABIDOL it cost me £20, it is brilliant it bloomin work's i have had no head aches and hardly any pain in my neck, I can think more clearly then I have been able too in a long time, it comes as bottle dropper in a greenish packet, you can get it a little cheaper on ebay but I made sure the seller was 100% recommended try it does work.

should tell you how the cbd has been extracted or in H+B not extracted lol, CO2 is the best because it can extract the cbd without extracting any THC - even the industrial hemp produces THC just very low but it rises in plants that are stressed - you need it extracted from the plant to be available I vape it because it has low bioavailability orally 6%, so you need extracted stuff to absorb it under the tongue because that is going straight into the bloodstream as said only 6% of what you digest will survive the digestion process hope this helps x
