just wondering if anyone else has experienced high blood sugar levels with their arthrhritis? i have severe osteoarthritis and last year my blood sugar and cholesterol tests were high. I recently had tests at the Lipids Clinic, My cholesterol is a little down but my blood sugar is now high enough to be classed as diabetic? i'm really confused about it all. I have a low bmi and healthy diet, its not hereditary , so wondering if its connected to my arthritis

Hello Debbie
I have never heard of a connection between the two.
Have you tried turmeric and black pepper for your arthritis?
No I haven't, unfortunately since this post I have been diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis also. This can have an effect on your cholesterol as mine was high also . Dispite having a good diet and low bmi , it will be interesting to see the effect on my blood sugar when I start methotrexate π
I checked, it seems that there is a link.. People with diabetes are more likely to get arthritis.
Turmeric and black pepper are excellent for arthritis pain, it works for me.
I hope you will manage it all OK. π
I came across a YouTube video by Alyssa Kuhn claiming that insulin resistance plays a part in osteoarthritis. I have just posted about how my joints have improved after we cut out added sugar and white flour, when you post popped up.
