I've was diagnosed with mild arthritis in my hips, lower back, and feet. I was put on Mexicam for a few months and it was bliss as it ended all arthritis pain and stiffness..... I was normal again...But with blood tests it was effecting my kidneys negatively so the doctor has now stopped it immediately, within one week all the pain and inflammation was back and I'm crippled again. I'm only on cocodimol which does nothing for my pain.
Has anyone else has to stop Mexicam and are their other types of medicines like it but without the kidney problems?

Hi Pipsmom, I've suffered from inflammatory arthritis for 40 years, and the most recent and useful thing that I've found, that reduces the inflammation is Tumeric capsules, which are readily available at health stores. Its natural and so no side effects regarding kidneys etc., Maybe its worth a try. If it works for you, bonus, if not then you're no worse off than now. Hope this helps, and that you are feeling better soon. Joyce x
