Hi all,

I've just diagnosed with arthritis not happy as the cold weather irritates it more, now my right hand is starting to feel pain and aches what are the long term prognosis

Some peoples arthritis stays the same for many years, others gradually gets worse like mine and some peoples gets rapidly worse so unfortunately there is no definite answer. Try and keep as mobile as you can and at a sensible weight. Do make sure you have at least gentle exercise each day so your joints keep mobile and your muscles stay healthy to support your joints. Make sure you always keep your hands warm and I do hand exercises to keep them as flexible and pain free as possible. Hope that yours gets no worse.x

Hi , new on here....my doctor has told me I have arthritis developing, the pain I get in my lower back, top of buttocks, neck, shoulders hands and feet is really bugging me,and I'm pretty sure my hip clicks when I'm walking. just constantly aches and eventually starts feeling numbish from the inside and as if it's warming up, I haven't noticed any swelling ect and bloods have come back normal... any advice would be appreciated
