Well done Poulson, 8 days is great, you should be very proud! I gave up many years ago & found it so much easier without patches or nicotine chewing-gum. Just keep taking it one day at a time & celebrate being smoke free!!
(oh by the way, if you want to comment on this thread with how you're getting on, it'd be easier for us to find rather than adding a new question/thread each time)
Hi Poulson, how's the stopping smoking going, are you up to 11 days now? If you are that's fantastic & before you know it, you'll be counting in weeks!
Sorry to have to tell you I gave in on Sunday night and started again.
I made an appointment Yesterday with the stop smoking clinic and they have given me some patches and an inhalator.
I have not as yet put a patch on but I have not had a cigarette all day.(Friday).
In the past I have stopped for a month without patches but it makes it harder because my husband smokes as well
I will keep on trying until I finally stop
Best Wishes Poulson
Aw never mind Poulson, it's all about perseverance & you're certainly doing that! It sounds like you REALLY want to give up - which is the most important thing. Well done for the stopping smoking clinic appointment, all the extra support can only help. It's an added challenge with hubby still smoking, but you never know maybe in time, he'll follow your fine example & give up himself! Keep trying, you can do it!
