Hi everyone,

I hope you’re well and enjoyed your Mother’s Day last weekend!

I had an internal job interview today. One of the questions was “in or out of work, what is your greatest achievement”. Honestly, I burst into tears (composed myself as quick as possible). Hands down my biggest achievement is my daughter. But linked to that (and why I got upset) was getting through the horror that is PPP. I didn’t go into details with them, they don’t need to know, but it’s made me think it clearly still has a massive impact on me and I’m proud of how far I’ve come.

I’ve reflected this afternoon and it is important to give ourselves a break, we’ve been through A LOT and we got (are getting) through it. Unfortunately (for me) PPP and the aftermath with hospital stays and medication, didn’t leave as quickly as it came. It’s life changing.

Has anyone had therapy after PPP? I had one session of EMDR regarding my traumatic childbirth but no other therapy. For me, I found being in hospital quite traumatic (what I remember of it) and think I may need to talk through that in the future?

Thinking of everyone

Have a lovely weekend
