Anyone on an antidepressant?

Just curious if anyone is on an antidepressant? I am on buproprion (wellbutrin). It seems to be working for me. I am also on lamictal. They are taking me off of my antipsychotic soon, which I am nervous about. Has anyone successfully come off their antipsychotic without symptoms returning?

Hi I am off all meds now but was on escitilipram anti depressant. I was told it is a very expensive and better citilipram which seems to be a standard anti depressant that gets prescribed a lot. I found it helpful but needed other support such as talking therapy as well...and just time to recover. I was on anti psychotic olanzapine and had it slowly reduced v successfully without any problems...

Hope you keep on imoroving, glad to hear the meds are working for you.

Thank you! I feel better, just really anxious. I hope to be off most my mess soon, probably will be on lamitrogine forever.

Hi, I also used to take Wellbutrin and it helped me a lot. I also cut my antipsychotic successfully (depakine). Unfortunately I had a second episode 4 years later, but only when I gave birth to my second child, that's why the doctors are not letting me having a third. But again I have fully recovered so I am certain everything is going to be fine with you, of course on the specific time your doctor indicates cutting off the medications. I wish you the best.

Hi, Sorry I can't add to the good replies here already as my PP was so long ago. I do remember taking Imipramine but I'm sure there are more helpful medications today. I'm glad you're feeling better. It's natural to be anxious as you just want to be well and in time you will be.

Best wishes.

Hi.

When I had PP I was on an antidepressant and antipsychotic and I was able to come off the antipsychotic medication without psychotic symptoms returning. I stayed on them for about 12 months in total. I wish you all the best in your recovery journey
