Hi i was wondering how many have had their driving licence revoked following ppp?

Hello Lovelife58
Congratulations on your precious grandchild.
Thank you for reaching out here to support your daughter. I’m sure other mums will be here to share their experiences. For now there is a post on the forum entitled ‘Medical License UK)’ which might be reassuring. If you can scroll down the forum page hopefully you will find it from a few months ago. I’m sorry I can’t help as I don’t drive.
I hope your daughter is recovering well from such a traumatic experience. Please take care of yourself too.

hi Lovelife58,
I’m Rachel, I had pp back in 2016 after the birth of my daughter.
I also had my license taken off me and it took 6 months to get it back. I know some who have gotten theirs back sooner.
Here is a link from rethink about the rights and restrictions around driving and mental illness.

It sounds like from your message that the 7 week stay in a mbu has ended and that she is home? If so that’s positive and hopefully she’s on the road to recovery.
Look after yourself in all of this too.
Take care
Rachel
It's interesting to hear about this. I haven't ever heard of this happening in the US. There are medications that can impair someone to the point that they should not be driving, but they won't take away your license unless you actually go out driving and cause an accident while taking them. It seems to me that it would be wiser to try to prevent this before it happens.
