Hi everyone, I'm Lou, I had PP after the birth of my first son nearly 8 years ago, followed by clinical depression. It took me just over 2 years to feel like my old self. I then went on to have 3 more children and remained well. Looking forward to supporting and sharing my own experiences xxx
Hi: Hi everyone, I'm Lou, I had PP... - Action on Postpar...
Hi
Hello Lou
Great to have you on the forum and I'm sure you will come across posts that you will be able to relate to and share your experiences.
It is a fantastic thing for people to be able to gain strength from knowing that other people have been there, 'got the T shirt' and recovered.
My PP was 27 years ago and it was probably 2 years for me too before I felt completely well. I went on to have a second child and thankfully didn't experience PP the second time.
We all have slightly different experiences but having battled through something so very difficult gives us all a bond and I think in the long run, it makes us stronger people.
kind regards
Val x
Hi Louloubex
Great to have you on here
Stories of recovery and also second children are so good to hear. We do have a lot of second pregnancy posts so I'm sure you'll be able to give some great replies to that.
What a busy life you must lead with 4 children under 8 X
Welcome to the forum Louloubexs - how lovely to hear that somebody who had PP went on to have so many children. It'd be great to hear more of your story and what support you had to stay well with the other pregnancies, although I can't imagine you can find much time to write with such a large and young family. I hope you continue to feel well and happy and to enjoy your busy family life.
Best wishes
Tracey
