Hi susan

I to get tinnius & virtigo , its very frustrating & can make you feel anxious

The tinnius is so annoying as well , I like some kind of noise about , that distracts me from it

The good thing is its not life threatening , but I no it makes you feel it is , but try to remember that nothing bad will happen

I would suggest going back to GP , & tell them how this is affecting you

Just wanted to let you no you are not on your own

Love

Hello Meg_1950 thank you so very much for your post. I'm sorry to read of your ear complaint and that you feel alone. I to have an ear complain, have previously experienced labrinthitus and now think I have tinitus - I feel like I'm going insane. So please hold that though you are alone, we are out here and hopefully we can chat on here. Your post encouraged me to join, so thank you - I do appreciate your honesty about feeling worried due to being on your own, it can be tough at times but at least we have the internet to connect with others.

Whywhy was correct, nobody is alone - we are on here.

Hugs

Hello All

' fraid our condition hits us in different ways. I also get rushing in the ear and sometimes a thumping head and it is very hard to convince ourselves that it just part of our condition and nothing worse!

The only consolation is that you are not alone. There lots of us out here!

Hi, I'm new to this site, but I too suffer from vertigo and tinnitus which are both horrible. I have brought on the vertigo at night due to nerves when I have been alone on my own and this has frightened me very much. I have an intense fear of being alone and this coupled with severe health anxiety led me to find this site! Now at least I know I am not alone! I have finally plucked up the courage to find CBT help via Anxietyuk as I know it is not right to carry on the way I am and have been for many years. My family are supportive but don't really understand, which can make you feel very isolated. I have decided that 2013 must be the year that I crack my fears! Love, hugs and best wishes to everyone on the site, and try to think positive thoughts!! Jennie xxx (I am just reading a very good book called 'The Secret' which is all about being positive.)

I have vertigo/balance problems which seem to have crept up since my current issues with anxiety started about 3 years ago. It's the one thing I feel is hindering my progress. Vicious circle of dizziness, bringing on tension (in legs) to re-establish my balance, followed by more tension. I also get tension across my nose, roof of mouth, jaw. Also neck and shoulders.
