Me again! I just wondered if anybody has noticed that " lack of emotion" feeling . I feel as if all my emotions are all or nothing these days. Sometimes I feel really hard don't get upset like I used to. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Hi.ella. I used to feel that I could no longer love anyone, not even my dear wife, and I did not get angry over things that would have made me angry before. It is strange how our emotions get tangled by this rotten complaint. I have just blogged someone about the 'yo yo' effect in this illness. It is one of the most depressing symptoms of all. But you are you and there is no way you will be deprived of empathy and understanding for long. Just another of the 'blips', my dear, so bear up. Love and blessings. jonathan.

Thats what my partner is like. Totally void of any emotions. He tells me he loves me over the phone, but sometimes i wonder if he means it.. Its if he is going through the motions...................... He is very short tempered and patience levels are at a low. I dont analyse it like i used to, but interesting to hear you saying the same Ellabella. Especially on here you have so much to give. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

I'm exactly the same, the things that Wud normally upset me just don't but wen I feel like crying it all comes out. Depends how I feel that day. My fiance can say things that Wud upset me but now they just don't. Xxx

I was like this for a short while even during times when I would of normally been on top of the world, unfortunately it's just a effect of what we r going through but it will pass :) x

It's quite reassuring to see the replies to your question, Ellabella as I hadn't realized that this numb, disassociating feeling could be a part of anxiety too. I seem to vacillate between the two extremes; being affected by everything or drifting along detached from everything. One is as bad as the other. All I can say is that for me these episodes come in waves so if you are able to ride it out it goes away again.I just find it really hard to wait for it to pass and am prone to doing something silly to make it stop.

I have felt like that recently. I got a new mobility vehicle that has aramp so I can put my big scooter in. I felt nothing. - me who get's excited at something from the £ shop!

on my third trip out in it, someone in the car park put a big dent in the front wing and drove off. - I was a bit disappointed.

regards,

sandra.

Blummin heck I guess we can all "play dead" then. I wonder if it's the brains way of having a rest ? A long time ago I actually saw a mouse doing this.....my cat had caught it and brought it in and I thought it was dead, poor thing. I got a dust pan and brush to sweep it up and it ran away! I couldn't believe it...It might be natures way.

Sandra that made me laugh! sorry. I didn't realise it was so common. It is a relief it's not just me though Love and hugs xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
