Hi. Gilbert. If you go to Amazon you will find lots of books on CBT but I think it is best to do this under guidance. Any therapy needs some guidance and understanding from someone who is versed in that particular therapy. Your GP can advise a computer course on CBT but I understand there may be a waiting list. If you are having problems with Antidepressants then you should go back to your GP. Only they can advise on this. You will get more helpful replies.

I hope you feel better soon. Best wishes. jonathan.

Thanks Jonathan. I have been back to the doctor and I'm on a waiting list to see a therapist but imagine this will take ages. I've been on sertraline for nearly 8 years and its kept me stable for most of that time with only occasional blips. But this last year have suffered 4 blips. I worry that I might need to change to another antidepressant.

Hi. Another useful book, that I highly recommend is "Essential help for your Nerves" by Dr. Claire Weekes. She specialised in nervous illness and has been a great help to many. (On Amazon or any good book shop. Around £10). Best wishes. jonathan.

Hi. Emsky. How did you get on with it? It is not a book I have heard of. Regards. jonathan.

Thanks both. I will look into them x

Mind Over Mood by Greenberger & Pedetsky is a CBT workbook.

The MoodGym website is also very good and could easily be completed without medical supervision.

I also have a copy of "Anxiety For Dummies" which is quite good, although none of these beat Dr Weekes and her invaluable advice.
