anyone using propanolol and finding it helpful for their anxiety?
Hi etmoo I've been on propanolol for a few months and found it very good for panics. Rough day today because I'm coming off valium. This is my 6th day without. Finding it hard to eat. I would recommend taking the propanolol though, I had no side effects and think it is ok when you want to stop. Chris
HI i took it found it very good no side effects so i thought but g p took me off them said it was lowering my b p i was on 40 mg in the morning what are you taking x
hi started on 20mgs twice a day then it was increased to 40 mgs twice daily when symptoms were at their peak, have reduced back to 20 mgs, havnt had BP checked so will do in case it is lowering it,do feel really tired around 6pm ,thanks for info.
It's good to reduce panicky symptoms - I've heard that actors often take it before going on stage. Best Wishes.
Hi I'm taking it too, have been for years because I always got really bad palpatations when anxious. The propranolol have stopped this. I don't really have any side effects other than sometimes feeling tired but then again that could be due to anxiety. My blood pressure is checked every twelve months and is always fine so GP says I can probs stay on them for life. I honestly do find they have helped ease some of the physical symptoms I have. Best wishes.

I used propanolol for a while,no side effects from it. I didn't find it a huge help, it maybe
took the edge off the anxiety a bit but nothing major.Still,we are all v different in how our bodies respond to drugs so it may well be a huge help to you. You never know unless you try
