Someone please tell me how blood sugar works. I know 80-100 is normal ranges, but I had it drop once last week and now I'm terrified to see it even in the 90s. I'm scared it will drop again. 😠I'm constantly grabbing carb and sugar filled snacks to keep it from dropping again ðŸ˜

Blood sugar concerns
Christ the last thing yoh should be doing is eating sugar. When you eat sugar your body produces insulin tl store the excess sugar..if you have some kinds of diabetes your boys over reacts to sugar and produces too much insulin causing your blood sugars to drop. So don't for the love of god eat sugar. You only Ever need a tiny amount of glucose as an emergency to raise blood sugar if it gets low. But its a very small amount that you need they sell lozenges in the chemist as emergency blood sugar raising agents and it will say on the pavk how many small lozenges to take if you have a hypo. If you eat sugae you're damaging your insulin production further and further. You need to eat small regular meals of slow release carbs with protien to slow the sugars even further that give a steady blood sugar that doesn't trigger a load of insulin to get dumping into your system which will cause a hypo. Even normal people experience a crash after sugar. And over time that rollercoaster of rises and crashes damages your ability to properly deal with sugar. Think of it this way ...are you more or less likely to have a crash if you slam on the excellerator and breaks often or if you drive at a slow steady pace ?
