Radiating pain

I hope it’s just my anxiety but I started feeling a weird pain on the side of my left armpit that sort of radiates towards my chest and back and down my arm. I’m 22 years old and have gotten numerous heart tests done and they’ve said my heart is fine but I keep getting these deep sharp pains that come and go and dont get better with breathing or changing positions. The more I think about it, the more places I feel it on. I don’t know if I should just go to the hospital. The pains have happened twice today and they’re not super intense but knowing this is a symptom of a heart attack i’m starting to panic help please. I’ve felt pains but I feel like this one’s different, but then again every pain feels different with anxiety. I don’t have any other symptoms besides the pains.

Hello :-)

I don't think this sounds like a heart attack it certainly is not how mine felt when I did have one but all I can say is if you are in any doubt because we are not Doctors even though I think it will be anxiety then get checked out :-)

Let us know how you get on :-)

Take Care x

It is anxiety chest pain caused by muscle tension. The pain can be dull, sharp or pressure-like, can radiate, can shift in places (left, right and in middle). I went through all of them. You are 22, and had multiple negative tests, so it is highly unlikely a heart-related pain.

Thanks for the reply I just got to it. I stopped feeling the pains and just yesterday started feeling pain right in the center of my chest and it was there for about 5 minutes. It happened after a huge argument. It went away when the anger passed which has me thinking is it really anxiety or a heart attack. I feel smaller and quicker pains today in the center of my chest and my upper back. I truly feel like i’m dying

Yes, emotions trigger chest pain. Concentration makes it worse. Use some distractions like walking/exercise, deep breathing, the pain usually goes away (it tells you it is anxiety-related). Hope you feel better, it takes time to fully convince yourself.
