Elefriends closing their website

Hello my friends. Many people in Britain are feeling anxious about losing our support from MIND, at midnight. After years of support through their website, they've created another one which is insufficient to provide the support as the features don't allow connection.

hi elefriends user myself on it everyday just noticed its crashed so will try getting back on just can`t believe its happening without the new forum being 100 percent ready.

It really is a lifeline for us and without it I cannot imagine x

its already causing divisions the new forum due to users who don`t feel safe and have genuine fears but they are wrongly being put down as negative users if genuine people really though that much they would be supportive rather than distancing themselves from current ele users.

I read about this closure, I wasn't a member of elefriends but I was intending to join after it was suggested by a friend. So disappointed that again important support network for sufferers is being taken away....there just isn't enough out there, so many sufferers will be feeling anxieties about this sad news. I don't know much about the new replacement site? will it have the same features as elefriends? Xx

The real thing which is affecting so many of us is that we have our own feed on Elefriends. On the new site, if someone comments on our post, we can't respond to it like we could on Elefriends I.e. 'like', 'hear what you're saying ' or 'thinking of you', And we can't add those people with whom we connect to our feed. There isn't such a thing on the new site. On Elefriends, if someone bothers to respond to us, we add them so that we can see their posts so that we can respond to them. Then we have a network x

That doesn't sound good at all, I was considering looking into the new site but I don't think I'll bother? I've been a member of this community for years now and it's been my rock on many occasions when I've needed someone to talk too...It's so sad that elefriends is closing....pitty someone couldn't set something similar up for all those people who probably rely on its support? Xx
