Hi lynstone60, since I've had several MRIs for different reasons, I found a way to cope

with my anxiety that helped. The eye mask is a must *I had a wash cloth put on top of

the face frame ....I put in my mind that this was my"me time". No one could bother me.

I was safe. I was given head phones that played my meditation tape that I brought along.

I used my deep breathing to relax as well. Last but not least, I told them to let me know

when I was half way through as well as when I was coming down to the home strength.

For me that works, even at the dentist it's great. I hope there isn't another time for you

but if there is, maybe you can tuck away these ideas. :) xx

Good Luck on your results.....

Ask about or look for "open" MRIs in your area. I had to stop my first MRI, could not do it. After some research I found a local "open MRI" where the machine is pretty much open on all sides, with only a large disk above and below.

I was able to finish that one without issue.
