Sertraline side effects

Hey all I have been officially battling with Generalized Anxiety since I received a diagnosis back in February of 2018. By August of that year I was on SSRIs and continue to take my morning dose of Sertraline. I was wondering if anyone taking this or other SSRIs has support for the lack of appetite and gastrointestinal side effects caused by this pill. These side effects seem to be increasing my anxiety which is often health related. Recently I added a few supplements to my diet that are geared for stomach related concerns (Vitamin B Complex, Turmeric, L-Glutamine, and Magnesium). Any support is greatly appreciated! Thanks!

don't know about that particular drug but the doctor increased my fluoexetine which I take for health anxiety and depression last week and i had a horrific week , which, as you say just sent my Health Anxiety further through the roof as i couldn't accept that the symptoms were a drug response. I dropped it down again and decided to take it at night and although not better at least I am back to where I started. I accept that one needs to adjust to new dosage and feel worse before better but even the doctor said it was too much. Can't win!!!

Ugh it's awful to experience those changes! I think the only thing that helps is telling myself 'this too shall pass' or 'it can't stay this way forever' ... hope you feel some relief!

Hi bee n taking sertraline 50 mg for 18 months along with amitriptylene and must say i feel much better.I was in a horrible place & this has helped immensley.I am able to manage my anxietywith this medication.Side effects at start constapation ears ringing &low sex drive.All gone now.Wishing you best of luck.
