Health anxiety heart then visual migraine

So I completely freaked out yesterday.. and got myself into a state thinking I had a problem with my heart... and later yesterday afternoon, and ended up having my vision was blurred could see straight had like flashing lights, so really scared me and phoned doctors and they said phone the opticians and they phoned me back later, and they said I have a visual migraine anyone else had anything like this ? It lasted about 20/30 mins then went then was left with a headache xxxx

No I’ve never experienced that before . But when I’m freaking out I have vision problems thinking I’m seeing things and my heart palpitations

Yes it’s fairly common to have the visual aura before a migraine headache. I’ve had this happen maybe 10 times over the last 30 years. I have learned that if I start seeing the flashing lights and blind spots that I immediately take some ibuprofens and lie down and wait for it to pass. Which it always does.
