Weight gain

Looking for support from other Zoloft users in regards to weight gain. I find myself feeling depressed after being recovered due to the weight gain I’ve experienced from Zoloft. I’ve put on 20lbs over the past year. I exercise daily and eat no carbs or sweets... still gaining. Prior to starting Zoloft I was able to maintain my weight even during six pregnancies. I’m curious as to if anyone has lost the weight once stopping Zoloft?

Hi Mongea

How are you doing apart from the weight gain.

It's nice to hear from you.

I have gained a similar amount of weight on antidepressants. I am still doing well generally however. I am pretty sure it will go if and when we stop taking them. I try not to let it bother me too much. I am fairly tall so it does not show too much. I do eat more sweet things and carbs so it it not surprising in my case. It seems to give me a craving for this sort of food.

How are your children doing. I admire you for coping through out your illness. I am retired so do not have much to cope with.

I am becoming frustrated with the lock down but feel it is completely necessary. I am lucky that noone in my family has been badly affected by the virus so far. Really hope you are all staying safe and well and are not too badly affected money wise either. It has been devastating for every country.

Are you having to home school? If so that must be a real challenge.

Very best wishes.

Kim
