Hi guys I’m new to this community I have been dealing with bad anxiety for a long time I try not to think bad but it’s so hard not too. I’m always afraid something bad is going to happen to me My heart races my stomach feels so weird like I can’t expand it to breathe it feels so tight it feels like something is stuck in my throat i the feeling like this anybody feel the same?

Hi autumnjanay, it does sound like just the symptoms of a panic attack. (Though I get it more in my chest than my throat) They are real symptoms they are manifested by the fear of your initial thoughts. Crazy magic tricks right?! Shows how powerful our minds truly are! but try not to worry 😊 Our minds cause it, and our minds alone can fix it too you just have to train it!
Anyhow, if you are still struggling with it I'd also suggest trying some audio books (there are quite a few good ones on Audible) they do help to explain a lot about how it works & then you should find it easier to pull under control.
Do you also feel like a fluttering sensation sometimes in your chest, butterflies nervousness type feeling? This can all be down to adrenaline released into your body as you have convinced yourself there is something wrong.
The fight or flight system, a hangover from the days when we had actual dangers to run from the adrenaline is there to make you more conscious to run or jump harder or faster longer.
When in reality the enemy we are fighting is only our thoughts, this adrenaline likes to make us do other things like lose breath control, become restless, frantic, fearful or even aggressive, there are other symptoms I have experienced too like pins and needles, and once even my jaw locked through fear.
With this in mind its easy to see why this can become a viscous circle, you become afraid of the fear! It can all be beaten though and I am sure you are fine.
