Distance with anxiety

Having anxiety in a time like this is tough. Being apart from my boyfriend for this long whole in quarantine makes my anxiety go crazy. I keep second guessing my feelings and how well we’re doing and I just don’t know how to get the running thoughts about the future to stop. I just keep worrying that it will end or that I’m making the wrong decision or that dating him is a commitment to forever and I don’t know how to make that stop. He’s my first real boyfriend and it all feels too perfect and I worry that if he’s my only I’ll freak out down the road that I didn’t get a single phase. Why do I even worry about that? I should be just happy. Why is my anxiety self sabotaging me? Idk what to do.

Have you been making sure to call each other now and again, to have some contact other than texting? That’s what I’ve been doing with my boyfriend, and I have similar anxieties. But talking to him just about every day is helping me get by

We call everyday and talk, today we even had a FaceTime date. I don’t know, it’s hard when you have no idea when this quarantine stuff will end.

sav_11 I totally relate. many people are experiencing anxiety during this lockdown across the USA. Our minds have a lot of free time and so naturally it will like to play tricks on us... presenting us with negative/2nd guessing thoughts. what you believe matters. for they will attract your future. so, take control of those thoughts/energies and turn it into positive PRODUCTIVE thoughts/energies. believe in yourself. focus on things you are good at and like to do even learn new things. begin a schedule of what you need and want to do each day. that structured schedule will help you also stay focused and help you get thru the day. also, you can call/text/social media/etc him to talk to him. focus on you and reach out when you can. you were created with a purpose. your are valuable. you are worthy of every effort you put forth. hugs of encouragement.
